Alliance for Retired Americans Endorses Donna Shalala for Congress

Endorsement highlights Shalala’s “commitment to ensuring that all Americans have the secure  retirement they have earned”

Today, the Alliance for Retired Americans endorsed Donna Shalala’s candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives. The Alliance for Retired Americans represents more than 4.4 million retirees, older Americans and community activists, including 195,370 members in Florida.

“I am honored to once again receive the endorsement from the Alliance for Retired Americans, which works tirelessly to protect the rights of Florida’s retirees,” said Donna Shalala. “I will never stop fighting for our older Americans, as I continue to work to strengthen Social Security, Medicare, and hard-earned retirement benefits.”

In their endorsement letter, the Alliance for Retired Americans writes, “Your positions demonstrate a strong commitment to ensuring that all Americans have the secure retirement they have earned.” The letter continues, “The Alliance for Retired Americans believes that your election to the House of Representatives will enhance the quality of life for older Americans.”
