Washington D.C – The National Women’s Political Caucus, a multi-partisan grassroots organization dedicated to increasing women’s participation in the political process, enthusiastically endorses Donna Shalala for Congress.
“With Donna Shalala’s impressive experience and tenacity, we are confident that she will be an important voice for women’s rights in Florida,” says Donna Len, President of the National Women’s Political Caucus. “Florida needs more strong and committed women like Donna.”
Donna Shalala has been a leader in the ongoing fight for women’s rights and equality throughout her career. While we have made significant progress, too many barriers and inequalities remain. In Congress, Donna Shalala will continue to be an outspoken voice for women.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement from the National Women’s Political Caucus,” said Donna Shalala. “Now, more than ever, we must continue fighting for the full equality of girls and women in Florida and across the country, and that means fully participating in the political process.”
Founded in 1971, the National Women’s Political Caucus is the only national organization dedicated exclusively to increasing women’s participation in all areas of political and public life — as elected and appointed officials, as delegates to national party conventions, as judges in the state and federal courts, and as lobbyists, voters and campaign organizers. With state and local affiliates, our membership today spans across the nation.
